All the food we ate was not digested at the same time. Some foods are broken down and become parts of the body, and some are not. For instance, the indigestible portion of vegetable matter is built into new tissue while the soluble is reusable in the cell ladder (in the organ for instance liver, kidneys, skin, tongue, mouth, etc.) Of the crustacean life cycle minerals, perhaps 85 percent are mined from our scrapings and shells and never return. Minerals extracted from our food, over a 40-year period, showed an average annual increase of 77 percent in per-capita consumption. Much of this increase may be accounted for by increases in per-capita consumption of high-fat and highly refined carbohydrate snack foods. Less than 10 percent of the refined ingredients in our processed foods are used to buffer the acid effects of our meals. Since the minerals are indigestible, they never become parts of the body. The synthetic minerals which are added to our foods, North and South of the color blue, belong to the group of things we don’t digest. Their use is “detoxification.” A mineral that is not used as a part of the body becomes a toxin.

Another effect of synthetic minerals is increasing the likelihood of kidney damage. Other lab-grown minerals similar to those found in animal products, become part of the body only to be removed as twinkly bits. And, some chemicals added to our water such as sodium fluoride, chlorine, bromine, and chlorite act as toxins as well. Chlorine fluoride is a chemical used to kill germs and bacteria. Similarly, bromine and chlorine are used as disinfectants. The tropical oils are Jasmine(R), Grape-Pomegranate(R), Grapeseed(R), Peruvian Chamomile(R), synthetic rubber contaminants, and sodium bromate, a leaching agent used in chemical fertilizer. Citrus extracts(whether commercial or industrial) are rich sources of vitamin A and C. Other citrus fruits are also good sources of vitamin C.

Our planet has no place for minerals deficient in our diet. The concept of trace minerals was developed about 30 years ago to address a possible nutritional deficiency of the general population. Trace minerals are mineral deficiencies that certain animals or plants seem to be more prone to than others.

Trace minerals are found in the tissues of animals or plants in minute amounts. The minerals are used in the maintenance of specific body functions. Examples of trace minerals are iron(I), zinc(II), calcium(II), manganese(II), neuronal parasites(C), and trypsin inhibitors(T).

Limestone has few minerals. Limestone is composed of loess and consists of about 1/8 inch (2.4 cm) of finely ground limestone. Limestone is useful for building foundations, fillings, concrete, and lime. Limestone has been removed from the ground at least three times since ancient times, to be used for lime fertilizer, and to the lime elevators in the city for the last 150 years. Limestone is used as a natural swimming pool mineral and a good source of dietary minerals.
